The 2024 Init Summer School program is designed by our team at the Skopje Office to provide aspiring tech professionals with hands-on experience and valuable insights into the world of cloud development, Azure, IIoT, and more. Over 12 weeks, our Interns will engage in immersive learning experiences, working closely with experienced mentors, while tackling real-world projects.
Our Interns come from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, bringing a rich mix of skills and perspectives to the program. They are united by a common goal: to expand their knowledge, build meaningful connections, and gain practical experience that will propel their tech careers forward. Whether they are interested in cloud technologies, DevOps, full stack development, or connecting embedded devices, our program offers the perfect environment for them to thrive.
Below, our Interns share their motivations for joining the Init Summer School, their backgrounds, and what they hope to achieve during the program. Their testimonials provide a glimpse into the diverse and dynamic group of individuals who are shaping the future of technology - and we are more than delighted to provide the platform!
"I liked the agenda, and especially the connection of embedded systems with the services offered by Azure. For me, it represented a unique opportunity to deepen my understanding and skills in an area that is key to the future of technology and innovation. In addition, Init's reputation for providing hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts was a significant factor in my decision." - Gorjan Spirovski, FINKI Graduate
"The opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Azure and IIoT alongside experienced mentors is invaluable." - Petar Mladenovski, 3rd -year student at FINKI
With a clear understanding of what motivated our Interns to join the Init Summer School, let us delve deeper into their educational and professional backgrounds to see what unique skills and experiences they bring to the program:
Gorjan continuous to tell us that he holds "a BSc in Software Engineering from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) at SS. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje. My professional experience includes working as an Embedded Software Engineer developing wireless and energy self-sustainable platform utilizing the LoRa communication protocol for monitoring soil and air parameters in agricultural fields. I have knowledge of embedded systems and wireless networks, and I have worked on various commercial projects involving IoT technology and real-time monitoring systems." while Matej Djajkov, a 5th –year FINKI student adds: "I am currently a final-year student at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE). While I don’t have formal working experience yet, I’m eager to apply what I’ve learned in my studies to real-world scenarios." Martin Adziev, a 4th year student at FINKI is "particularly excited that my first professional experience is with Init Norway - Skopje Office, as I believe it will provide me with valuable insights and skills that will set a strong foundation for my career."
We continue to discover more about our Interns and are just learning their expectations. For Mila, that would be "to acquire skills that will open new perspectives and opportunities in my career, preparing me to solve crucial problems in our rapidly evolving digital age." Ivan Stefanovski, a 4th -year student at FINKI says that his expectations include: "broadening my knowledge, building connections with IT professionals, and learning from their experiences. Additionally, I look forward to observing and participating in the project workflow within a company, gaining practical insights into how things are done in a professional setting."
By understanding their motivations, background, and expectations, we can better guide them towards the skills and areas they are most interested in developing. For Ivan, that would be "cloud and DevOps, as well as creating full stack applications. Throughout my engagement with Init Norway - Skopje Office, I also became interested in connecting embedded devices in the cloud." Petar's interests lie in "exploring cloud computing, Azure technologies, IoT, embedded systems and DevOps. These areas promise innovation and practical solutions."
To provide a decent closure to our conversation with the Interns from above, we were curious to see how they believe this Summer School will help Initiate (pun intended!) their career in tech. Martin believes that "this internship will have a significant impact on my future career - the unique tech stack I will be working with will enhance my technical abilities and provide me with expertise that is highly relevant in today’s job market." While Matej simply believes that "the possibility to work closely with experienced software engineers throughout this internship will only have a positive impact on my career." - both statements that summarize the essence of the Init Norway – Skopje Office Summer School 2024.
